The hotel was very warm - too warm, really!

Very dated decor & very elderly clientele. Hotel is all focused on the elderly, which is fine, but I felt very out of place - and I'm over 50!

    Exceptional

We booked a twin room and it was very spacious. As it was a corner room, it had windows on two sides with pleasant views. Great to see a proper bath tub and not just a shower! Excellent breakfast - service and food. Live natural yoghurt, and tasty proper sausages. Very cosy, and a traditional British seaside hotel. It was very helpful for the hotel to supply parking vouchers for street parking outside.

Nothing major. It would be perfect if it had sea views, but it is one block from the sea (which I was aware of when booking).

    Very good

Was given twin room not a single for no extra cost. Staff very helpful. Near to sea and theatres.

Duvet and pillows seem old and hard and needed replacing. Breakfast was only between 8-9 am. Only shower, no bath.

Large well equipped bedroom. Plenty of drawer and wardrobe space.

Dining times are very short. Only 8-9 for beakfast and 6-7 for dinner. Very slow, very small elevator.

    Good

Rooms are big and sunny. Close to beach.

Menu... Dust on some places. My partner used to be cleaner in 4 star hotel in central london. She said that tideness has to be even in motels, star or without strats.

    Fabulous

Very convenient for beach and theatres. The arrangements for parking removed one of the stresses of Eastbourne and were much appreciated.

The ensuite facilities would have benefitted from the provision of a toilet brush.

    Good

Good value for money, rooms could do with updating, it had the feel of a nursing home. I am presuming lots of disabled people stay there and seem to be well catering for with bathing aids etc.Rooms were very clean I cant comment on the food as we did not stay for breakfast.

    Exceptional

Staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel was clean. My room adequate to my needs and tastefully decorated and firm mattress on med. Breakfast was freshly cooked and good. I didnt have any other meals there. There was a good ambience at the hotel. I would stay again.

Some loud guests at night who woke me up but thats no reflection on the hotel.
